Sample pack, page by page
Last reviewed 1 November 2026
This sample is a 51-page PDF made from an invented chat between two made-up people. It shows the four documents in a court bundle pack: a chronology, the selected messages, the complete record and an events copy. Every page is marked as a sample. Open it beside the table below.

What each page is for
| Pages | Document | What it is for |
|---|---|---|
| 1 to 2 | Chronology (section A) | One sentence per event, each pointing to a bundle page. The entries are the writer's own words. |
| 3 | Selected messages: front sheet | Case line, what is included, and a contents table with page numbers. |
| 4 to 6 | Selected messages: items | The six messages the chronology relies on, copied exactly, with times and message numbers. |
| 7 to 8 | Complete record: front | Facts about the whole chat: period, counts, date order and fingerprints. |
| 9 to 46 | Complete record: messages | Every message in the order the app saved it. Kept outside the bundle in case the court asks. |
| 47 to 51 | Events copy | A reading copy. Your sentence sits above the exact messages. Not for the bundle. |
What to look for
- A sample banner at the foot of every page. The people, court and case number are invented.
- Message numbers (M0072) match across the chronology, selected messages and record.
- Page labels such as D2 let the chronology point to the right page.
- A fingerprint (SHA-256) on the record, so a later copy can be checked against it.
Try it on your own chat
- Count the pages first with the chronology builder.
- Make a pack from your export. Packs start from US$7.
- Check it against the original chat.
Rules behind the layout are in the PD27A chronology and e-bundle checklist. Solicitors and mediators: see how packs work with clients. More in the guides.
Questions people ask
Is any of this a real case?
No. The people, court, case number and messages are invented. Every page says so.
Will a court accept a pack like this?
We cannot promise that. Courts set their own rules, so check yours or ask a solicitor.
General information only, not legal advice. VaultXT is not a law firm and cannot promise any court will accept a document.
